Martin Audio Wavefront Precision
Introducing the award-winning Martin Audio Wavefront Precision range of PA system hire stock now available from Mainline.
The Wavefront Precision range is Martin Audio's latest development in a long history of high quality public address systems.
Building on their optimisation technology, WP passive line arrays give a superb level of sound control to meet varying requirements and budgets: we'll optimise a PA system for consistent sound levels where it's wanted, and reduced levels where it isn't.
The Wavefront Precision range won the prestigious Queen's Award for Enterprise in Innovation in 2021.
WPS and WPM speakers are matched to the superb SX range of subwoofer cabinets in flown or ground-stacked formation.
Complimenting the WP range are equally high quality stage monitors from the Martin Audio LE range. These are the LE100 12" and LE200 15" versions, providing excellent clarity on the most demanding stage situations.
Wavefront Precision WPS
WPS is a 3-way compact line array speaker using 8" main drivers with a passive crossover, boasting a peak SPL of 133dB. WPS is very well suited for touring live acts in small to medium sized venues or festivals, offering more consistent sound coverage within the audience area than a standard line array.
WPS speakers are powered by iKON42 amplifiers, containing the DSP processing for the required sound control. They are driven from amplifier channels as one, two or four boxes, to give the required sound optimisation.
Wavefront Precision WPM
WPM is a 2-way compact line array speaker using 6.5" main drivers with a passive crossover, promising a peak SPL of 130dB. WPM is the smaller, more affordable brother to WPS, and well suited for touring live acts in small to medium sized venues and festivals.
WPM may be the smallest in the WP range, but still offers more consistent sound coverage within an audience area than a standard line array. An array of 12 WPM units will project to at least 35 metres.
WPM live array speakers are also powered by iKON42 amplifiers for the required sound optimisation.
DISPLAY system optimisation
Martin's DISPLAY software is used to optimise their PA systems to the sound requirements of an event and venue.
Modelling is carried out by entering the venue and audience area dimensions. The speaker rigging angles can then be set, and an amplifier configuration file produced.
Martin are currently developing a 3D version of DISPLAY with an improved workflow and venue representation, which will lead to greater system optimisation accuracy.
SXCF118 Subwoofer
SXCF118 subwoofers match the WP range of speakers.
The 18" main driver offers extended low-end reinforcement on smaller up to medium size applications. Units are cardioid by design using a rear-facing driver, offering excellent control of rearward noise attenuation.
SXCF118 may be flown or ground stacked, with or without line array speakers.
SXH218 Subwoofer
The SXH218 subwoofer provides a huge peak of up to 148dB for the most demanding sound system requirements. This is the ultimate in extended low-end to compliment a Wavefront Precision PA system.
Designed for ground-stacking with larger systems, output down to 32Hz is available from the two 18" driver units.
Wavefront Precision range rigging
The versatile WP speaker range can be deployed in many formations.
Flown arrays can be up to 24 WPS units per hang, or up to 16 of the WPM type.
In each case, SXCF118 subwoofers can also be flown with WP speaker hangs.
WPS and WPM speakers may also be ground stacked on subwoofers.
LE stage monitor range
We now stock Martin Audio's excellent LE series of stage monitors, inheriting their name from the legendary monitors of the 1970's.
The LE100 is a 2-way passive unit with a 12" main driver and a co-axial 1" HF driver. This versatile monitor can also be pole-mounted with an SX subwoofer to form a superb small venue PA option.
The LE200 is a 2-way bi-amped wedge with a 15" main driver and a co-axial 1.4" HF driver.
Both monitors are low-profile and deliver excellent clarity to cut through with a stage mix.
